Appointments | AFC Academy

A-League referee Alex King is currently in Kuala Lumpur having been selected as an inaugural member of the AFC Referees Academy. This will see Alex participate in a four-year program of continuous education and development, hopefully culminating in selection to the AFC Elite Panel at its conclusion.

Alex made his A-League refereeing "debut" last season as a 76th minute substitute on 5 December 2016, in the Wellington Phoenix v Melbourne Victory match after referee Alan Milliner was unable to continue due to injury. After being promoted from the fourth officials' panel this season, he made his full debut in this season's Round 3 fixture between Perth Glory and Central Coast Mariners.

The PFRA wishes Alex all the best with his future commitments with AFC, and hope he enjoys a long and successful refereeing career.
